My most frequently asked question: "Why the Pelican?"
When people think of yoga practitioners, they often think of swanlike, graceful people who can do athletic and intricate poses, and may become intimidated at the very thought of adopting a yoga practice into their own life.
I chose the pelican to express that yoga is accessible for everyone, regardless of physical condition. The pelican may have a beak that's too big for its head, and head that's too small for its body, but it is beautifully awkward. It is this uniqueness that makes the pelican one of my favorite birds.
